Lightguide Adapters for LED Sources

A lightguide adapter can be used to couple light from a collimated LED source into a lightguide. Currently, Mightex offers the following lightguide adapters:

  • LCS-LGA22-0515: Lightguide adapter for 22mm-diameter LED collimator source and beam combiner. For light guide with ferrule diameter of 5mm (typical 3mm-core light guide) and ferrule length of 15mm or greater.
  • LCS-LGA22-0715: Lightguide adapter for 22mm-diameter LED collimator source and beam combiner. For light guide with ferrule diameter of 7mm (typical 5mm-core light guide) and ferrule length of 15mm or greater.
  • LCS-LGA22-0Q15, Lightguide adapter for 22mm LED collimator source and beam combiner. For light guide with ferrule diameter of 0.25"(6.35mm) and ferrule length of 15mm or greater.
  • LCS-LGA22-1115: Lightguide adapter for 22mm LED collimator source and beam combiner. For light guide with ferrule diameter of 11.1mm and ferrule length of 15mm or greater.

Below are some examples of how to use the lightguide adapters:

(1) With a collimated LED source
(2) With multi-wavelength beam combiners and collimated LED sources

(3) With a WheeLED wavelength -switchable LED source
